Mr. Abdulfatah Ibrahim is a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist and Laboratory Instructor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (Hons) from LAUTECH Ogbomosho in 2010 and M.Sc. degree in Virology from the University of Ibadan in 2016.
Before joining University of Medical Sciences in 2018, he has over five years’ work experience in the use of laboratory techniques to analyze human biological samples for routine clinical diagnosis and research within the public and private institutions.
Mr. Ibrahim has participated in various infectious diseases research works such as Molecular analysis of Vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, plasmid analysis of Gram-negative bacilli organisms and Molecular detection of other Enterovirus in clinical samples apart from Poliovirus.
Mr. Ibrahim is an Associate Member of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria; Member of African Society for Laboratory Medicine, American Society of Microbiology and Nigerian Bioinformatics and Genomic Network
